New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is here and it’s packed with close to 400 shows and more than 100 designers. An even larger spectacle than 2012, which boasted 270 shows, NYFW 2016 will be held from February 11 thru February 18, and will feature the collections of living legends from Calvin Klein to Tommy Hilfiger and celebrated designers from Anna Sui and Betsey Johnson. Up-and-comers such as the duo Public School and Project Runway Season 5 Winner Leanne Marshall will be showing as well.
No longer hosted held at Lincoln Center or sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, New York Fashion Week (organized by WME-IMG) will take place across several unique venues including Skylight at Moynihan Station, MADE at Milk Studios, and Skylight Clarkson Square. According to an IMG press release, “the relocation is one step in the evolution of NYFW, which will be reintroduced as a new platform that focuses on content, caters to the needs of the industry, and creates a full cultural experience for guests.” Several offsite shows will take place as well during NYFW. DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, and Vivienne Tam are just a few.
New York Fashion Week attracts people from around the world and generates more than $900 for the city of New York. Here’s a look at the schedule and if you’re lucky enough to score an invite, do enjoy!
